With its fairy-tale castle, picturesque streets, and warm local hospitality, Cochem quickly became one of our favorite travel destinations. Hey Lykkers! Here’s a glimpse into our memorable trip and some tips to help you plan your own visit.

Exploring Cochem Castle: A Step Back in Time

Our first stop was the iconic Cochem Castle (Reichsburg Cochem). Perched on a hill overlooking the town, this medieval fortress seemed straight out of a storybook. As we made our way up the winding path to the castle, we were greeted by stunning views of the Moselle River and surrounding vineyards.
Our Experience: Touring the castle was like stepping into the past. We roamed through the grand halls, marveled at the intricate woodwork, and imagined what life might have been like in this historic stronghold. The highlight was climbing the tower, where we enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of Cochem and the river below. The castle also hosts medieval-themed events, which add an extra layer of magic to the experience.

Our Experience: The cruise was the perfect way to relax and take in the beauty of the Moselle region.
